Booking your Agent One-to-One

Booking your Agent One-to-One

How can I view which agents are available?

You can view a list of agents currently working with us on our Agent One-to-One page. You can use the dropdown search tools to filter the list by region (UK or US) and by genre. While researching agents, we recommend clicking 'Read More' to view the agent's full bio and visiting their agency website for full details of their wishlist, experience and current client list.

You can find the number of sessions available to book below each agent's bio.

When will new sessions be made available?

New Agent One-to-One Sessions are added to the website every two months with the update taking place on the first Monday of the month, though we may release sessions outside this schedule as agents express their availability to us.

You can check the Agent One-to-One page for a list of agents participating in the service in a given season, along with their current availabilities.

If most of the agents on the list are sold out, that's usually a good sign that new sessions are due to drop soon, but you can get in touch at 121@jerichowriters.com if you would like to check.

How do I book an Agent One-to-One session?

Step One: Build your shortlist

Sessions are released every two months, and you can find the list of agents we are currently working with here. As sessions are first come, first served, we recommend putting together a shortlist of three agents you might be interested in speaking to before you place your order.

Step Two: Purchase your session

After purchasing your session, you will receive an email containing a link to your personal booking page. Use the link in your confirmation email to select an agent and a 15-minute time slot for your phone call.

Step Three: Upload your documents

After booking your session, you will be invited to upload your documents via your personal booking page. We ask for a query letter, a synopsis and the first 5000 words of your manuscript, uploaded no later than 1 week before the session.

Step Four: Speak to the agent over the phone

At the time of your session, your chosen agent will ring you using the phone number provided at checkout. You’ll receive feedback on your submission pack, as prepared by the agent in advance of the session. Make sure to prepare any questions for the agent before the call starts!

How far in advance can I book my session?

This will depend on agent availability. All sessions must be booked at least 1 week in advance to allow time for your uploaded files to be received and reviewed. However, some of our most in-demand agents can sell out more than 2 months ahead of their sessions, so we recommend booking in early to avoid disappointment.

Do I need to use my booking page right away?

No, you can use your booking page at any time. After you have purchased your session, it will not expire. If you have purchased your session but your preferred agent is not available, you can wait until new sessions have been released (please see FAQ above: When will new sessions be made available?).

Please note that while your purchased session will not expire, refunds are available within 30 days of purchase only. For more information, please see our T&Cs

I'm based outside the UK – can I still book a session?

Yes, we work with writers all around the world! When booking, please be aware that all times listed on your booking page are given in 24-hour UK time (GMT or BST).

We cover the cost of all international calls on behalf of our agents. However, we recommend checking your own phone plan for any details about receiving international calls, as data plans may vary. If you expect to be unable to receive a phone call from the UK, please contact 121@jerichowriters.com at least one week before your session so that we can make suitable arrangements.

How can I check that my booking has been confirmed?

If your booking was successful, your booking page should show the time and date of your session. If this is not the case, please get in touch with 121@jerichowriters.com and let us know which session you would like to book.

What do I need to do after booking?

After booking your session, you will need to upload your files no later than one week (7 days) before the session. For more information on how to upload your files and prepare for your session, please see the related article: Agent One-to-One file uploads

I'm a course student, how do I redeem my Agent One-to-One session(s)?

If your course includes access to one or more free Agent One-to-One sessions, our Courses team will have contacted you with instructions on how to redeem them. You can usually find information about this by searching for 'One-to-One' in your emails or by checking the posts in your course forum. If you cannot locate this code, please contact the Courses team for support.

You will need to be logged into your account to redeem your session(s). Visit the Agent One-to-One page to add the correct number of sessions to your basket, then enter your coupon code at checkout and click 'Apply Coupon'.

Before proceeding, please check that the coupon has been applied successfully and the total cost of products in your basket has been reduced to £0. If other products are in your basket (including additional Agent One-to-One sessions not covered by your coupon) you will be charged for these, so make sure you have deleted any unwanted products before completing your order.

Please note that if your course coupon grants you more than one Agent One-to-One session (e.g. the Ultimate Novel Writing Programme), you will need to add all of your sessions to your basket before completing checkout. This is because your coupon code can only be used once.

Where can I find Terms and Conditions of purchase?
