Where can I access personalised advice?
We offer our Premium Members personalised support through our Expert Member Advice service. From here, you can request a free query letter review, find out more about our regularly scheduled live events, or book a call for more help.
You can find our Expert Member Advice page by visiting Get More Support > Expert Advice > Expert Member Advice from your Townhouse news feed, or by hovering over the My Jericho dropdown on the main Jericho Writers site and clicking Expert Member Advice.
How do I submit my query letter for review?
We offer our Premium Members one query letter review per year of membership.
From our Expert Member Advice page, click 'Query Letter Reviews'. There, you will find a form to book your review and upload your query letter. You can also let us know any specific questions you would like us to consider when reviewing your query letter.
On the calendar, you will need to select the date and time to receive your query letter review. Select an available date, and then an available time. Once selected, you will see a summary, and this will be listed on the left side of the calendar.
How will I receive my query letter review?
Query letter reviews take place over email.
I'm not sure if I have booked my query letter review.
Once your query letter has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation message on the page, as well as an automatic confirmation email. If you do not receive an email, please check your Spam/Junk folders, or get in touch to check that we have received your submission.
Who will do my review?
Your query letter will be reviewed by a member of the Jericho Writers team. We have been working alongside literary agents and editors for over a dozen years, so we know exactly what makes a stellar submission, and have provided feedback on over 1,200 query letters since launching the service.
When will I receive my review?
You will receive your review via email by the date selected. To allow us time to assign and complete the review, you must select a date at least 3 weeks into the future.
Although we set a rough deadline of 5pm, please be aware that differences in working patterns may result in slight variations in arrival time. If the selected date has passed and you have not received your review, please double-check your Spam/Junk folder and then contact info@jerichowriters.com for support.
Is it possible to get my query letter sooner?
We are a small team, and setting a 3-week turnaround on our query letter reviews enables us to continue providing the service. If you need your query letter reviewed sooner, please get in touch and we will take this into consideration, although we can only guarantee turnaround by the selected date.
How can I make the most of my free query letter review?

How many query letter reviews am I allowed?
Premium Members get one free query letter per year of membership. For example, if your subscription started on 1 September 2026, you could receive one query letter review between then and 1 September 2027.
Can I get feedback on multiple query letters/an amended query letter?
We aren’t able to provide a second review of your query letter or feedback on multiple query letters within the same membership year. If you would like to receive additional feedback on your submission pack, we recommend checking out Agent One-to-Ones or an Agent Submission Pack Review. You can also share your query letter for feedback in the beta readers group on Townhouse.
Can you review my synopsis, too?
Our free query letter review service only includes feedback on your query letter. If you’d like to receive feedback on your entire submission pack, we recommend checking out Agent One-to-Ones or an Agent Submission Pack Review. You can also share your synopsis for feedback in the beta readers group on Townhouse.
Can you recommend agents/query agents for me?
We aren’t able to recommend or query agents on behalf of authors, as this is a very personal decision and will depend on your own needs and preferences. We recommend checking out AgentMatch, our literary agent database, to put together a shortlist of suitable agents to query.
