When will I learn who my Personal Tutor is?
Your Personal Tutor will be confirmed the week before the course is due to begin. We will take the preferences stated on your application into account when allocating your Personal Tutor, however the final decision will be made by the tutors once all the students have been confirmed on the course. This is to ensure you will be allocated to the tutor who is best placed to support you on the course and offer guidance with your novel.
How many tutors?
There are currently 5 tutors in total: 4 based in the UK and 1 based in the USA.
How am I assigned a mentor?
Our five tutors have been chosen because they all have different specialisations and work across different genres. If you are accepted onto the FULL package, out of the five tutors, one will become your Personal Tutor and will read your work every month.
While you can request to work with a particular tutor in your application, you will be matched with the best-suited tutor for your project. If you’d really like to change, just let us know and we’ll see what we can do!
Who will be in my Tutor Group?
You will share your Personal Tutor with up to 9 other students, and work with your group closely throughout the course, in Tutor Group calls and peer feedback activities. Many of our alumni go on to form lifelong bonds and continue to support each other long after the course has finished.
Which genres do the Tutors specialise in?
