What is mentoring?

Mentoring is a bespoke service, designed to be flexible and fit with the different needs and writing stages of each author who contacts us. You could spend your mentoring hours with anything from face-to-face discussions about your ideas, to written feedback on sections of your writing, to a mixture of the two. You can find out some more and apply here: Our Mentoring Service - Jericho Writers.

We have three main blocks of mentoring available: 10 hours (from £995), 20 hours (from £1,950) or 30 hours (from £2,800). We also offer a more flexible mentoring by the hour option from £100 per hour. Premium Members receive an automatic 10% discount on all mentoring bookings.

You can take a look at our full list of mentors on this page. There will be space for you to indicate one preferred mentor in your application, but if you have a preference list of 2-3, do send an email to mentoring@jerichowriters.com, and we'll keep this in mind if your first choice isn't available.

Please also note that by booking, for example, 10 hours of mentoring, you'd essentially be booking 10 hours of the mentor's time. This means that any time it takes them to read and review your work will be deducted from your remaining hours. For this reason, if you've completed your manuscript, it may be worth considering a manuscript assessment.
