Mentoring is suitable for authors at all writing stages who would like bespoke, one-to-one support with their writing or next steps.
Mentoring can cover, but is not limited to, the mentor supporting with:
- Coming up with ideas
- Planning a project
- Refining opening chapters
- Providing coaching and feedback along the writing process
- Learning about specific narrative skills
- Identifying genre and target market
- Motivation to complete the draft
- How to complete and edit a manuscript
- Preparing an agent submission pack
- Tips on querying agents
- Self-publishing and author marketing
The sessions can be held over video call or phone call, as written feedback over email, or a combination. This can be decided between you and your mentor in order to best meet your needs.
