Who is the tutor and what is their experience?
Rowan Coleman is the Sunday Times bestselling and award-winning author of sixteen epic romance novels, including The Memory Book, The Summer of Impossible Things and The Girl at the Window.
Rowan is a Royal Literary Fund Fellow, and has previously taught for Faber Academy, Curtis Brown Creative and Guardian Masterclasses. A screenwriter since 2020, Rowan currently has two projects under option, and her historical crime series The Brontë Sisters Mysteries (The Vanished Bride, The Diabolical Bones, The Red Monarch and A Gift of Poison) is in development for TV.
With more than two decades of experience writing romantic fiction, Rowan has insight into trends, tropes and what makes a romance novel stand out from the crowd.

You can book a 20 minute one-to-one video call with Rowan Coleman for just £20, through our
course taster sessions. We know how important it is to feel comfortable and confident when committing to a writing course, so these sessions are designed to give you an insight into how you might work alongside your tutor, and whether this course is the right next step for you. If you do go on to join us on Writing Romance Novels, this session fee will be credited towards the course cost.
