How much does the course cost?
We have the following payment options for you to choose from:
- Pay as a lump sum of £3500 / $4600 USD.
- Pay in 8 instalments of £480 / $630 USD per month.
- Pay in 12 instalments of £325 / $420 USD per month.*
*Only available if you sign up at least 5 months in advance.

How much time will the course take?
The course takes place entirely online, so is tailored to fit around your schedules. The main aim of the course is to support you in writing and finishing your own manuscript during the 8 months. This will take dedication – the more you put into the course, the more you get out!
We estimate that you will spend about 10 hours per week on the course:
- 1 hour per week in tutor or mentor Zoom sessions
- 3-4 hours per week doing reading, learning tasks, and peer review
- 4-5 hours writing time
Please note that, although we will support and guide you along the way, it is ultimately up to you how long you spend writing each week, and everyone works at different paces.

What genres does the course suit?
We warmly welcome writers in almost every genre, from very literary to commercial. Our tutors work across a diverse list of categories, including both creative non-fiction and fiction writing. We also welcome writers of YA and MG. If you are writing non-fiction or for much younger children, our courses may be less suitable – but feel free to ask.
