Pre-Festival information:

What are the deadlines I should be aware of?

You can find a to-do list with a countdown to our main booking deadline on the booking platform after purchasing your ticket.

If you have an All-Access ticket, the following tasks need to be completed by May 18th 2026:
One-to-One bookings (deadline 10am BST)
One-to-One file uploads (deadline 1pm BST)
Gala Dinner menu selections for Saturday/Weekend ticketholders (deadline 1pm BST)
Friday Night Live entries for Saturday/Weekend ticketholders (deadline 1pm BST)

All attendees with an All-Access or Workshop Pass ticket should book any workshops or panels before attending the Festival, as you will be registered at the workshop door. Workshop attendance is first-come, first-served, so we recommend booking in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. For more information, please see the related FAQ: 'Can I attend a workshop or One-to-One if I have not pre-booked?'

How can I meet other attendees?

The booking platform we are using for the London Festival of Writing 2026 has a networking and direct messaging feature. When registering on the booking platform, you will be invited to select your genre interests and manage your privacy preferences. By visiting the Networking tab, you can view other attendees and find people writing in your genre. You can also use the platform to direct message other attendees so you can get to know them ahead of time.

If you do not wish to receive direct messages or appear on the list of attendees, simply opt out at registration or review your settings by clicking your initials/profile picture in the top right and selecting Profile Settings. For more information on managing your profile, please see the related FAQ: How do I change my profile settings?

With all that said, it’s okay to come to the Festival not knowing anyone. In fact, we expect most of our attendees to be in the same boat! Throughout the weekend, there will be plenty of opportunities to get to know people, share your ideas and opinions, and make new friends.

Will there be any events leading up to the London Festival of Writing 2026?

Yes, we will host an online mixer event so you can get to know other attendees and ask our team any questions ahead of the Festival. We’ll contact all attendees about this closer to the event. If you can’t make the event live, don’t worry, as we’ll send out a video replay within a couple of working days.

We will not be organising any in-person meet-ups prior to the Festival. We encourage you to make your own arrangements with other attendees if you would like to meet other writers before the Festival, e.g. on Friday night. For more information, please see the related FAQ above: How can I meet other attendees?

Where can I find more information about what to expect at the London Festival of Writing 2026?
