How do I buy tickets?
To make full use of the booking platform, you will first need to Register by buying a ticket. You can do this by visiting the
Tickets page shown in the navigation menu.
- Select Tickets: There are six ticket types available: Workshop Passes and All-Access Passes can each be selected for Saturday, Sunday, or the Full Weekend. Please read the information available below each ticket type carefully to ensure you are selecting the correct ticket. At the bottom of the ticket list, you will find a Ticket Insurance product, which is an optional add-on. For more information about this, please see the related FAQ: 'How does Ticket Insurance work?' Tickets and add-ons which you have added to your basket will be displayed on the right-hand side of the Ticket page.
- Select Sessions: You will be asked to select workshops available on the day(s) associated with your ticket. You can change these bookings later if you like, but we recommend selecting any workshops you're really keen to attend right away to avoid missing out. The full workshop/panel agenda can be found at London Festival of Writing 2026 - Agenda.
- Share Details: You'll be asked to enter your name, email address, phone number and dietary requirements at this stage. You can optionally specify a pen name and any accessibility needs we should be aware of. If you are buying a ticket as a gift, you can untick 'I Am Attending' and enter the ticketholder's name and personal details below your own. Finally, please tick the boxes to consent to the use of your data and agree to our Terms and Conditions.
- Associate With Tickets: If you have selected a workshop for which only one ticket in your basket is valid, that workshop should be automatically assigned to the ticket. If you have purchased multiple tickets valid for a workshop, you will need to assign the workshop to the correct ticket.
Once your tickets have been purchased, you will receive a receipt and a confirmation email containing an e-ticket with a QR code. You will need to show this QR code for registration at the Festival. You will also be prompted to log into the booking platform on desktop or by downloading the mobile app to edit your bookings and join the discussion.
You can use the link in your confirmation email or click Sign In on the navigation menu to access your account on the booking platform. You will be prompted to provide the email address you used to purchase your ticket or your ticket ID number (found at the bottom of your confirmation email). After entering either of these details, you will be sent an email from 'Zoho Backstage' with a one-time password (OTP) to validate your identity and allow you to log in. If you have not received this email within 5 minutes, please check your Spam/Junk folder.
Upon logging in for the first time, you will be invited to customise your profile. You can optionally add a profile picture, change your contact details, write a short 'About' bio, and add social media links. Clicking Next will bring you to the Interests section of your profile, where you can choose genres to help you connect with other attendees with similar interests. Finally, the Privacy Preferences allow you to customise your privacy on the booking platform by opting in or out of direct messages from other attendees, and setting your profile to public or private (which will affect whether or not you are shown on the Networking page). You can change any of these settings later by clicking your initials/profile picture and selecting Profile Settings.
