Where can I find Terms and Conditions of purchase?
Do you have any discounts available? How do they work?
London Festival of Writing 2026 tickets are subject to the following discounts:
• Bounceback, a limited-time offer available only to attendees who paid a £50 deposit at the London Festival of Writing 2025.
• Earlybird, a limited-time offer available for the first 50 ticket sales.
Both of the discounts above may be applied to a ticket purchased upfront or a ticket purchased in instalments.
No other discounts are available for the London Festival of Writing 2026. However, we are selling Workshop Passes for the event at a lower price point; these include access to workshops and panels only, without access to One-to-One feedback sessions, the Gala Dinner, or the Friday Night Live (but on a Saturday) live final.
Tickets may be purchased in instalments to spread the cost across a two-month period rather than paying upfront. For more information, please see the related FAQ below:
‘How does the instalment plan work?’
Can I bring a carer?
Yes, you can bring a carer for free, though your carer will not have access to any workshops, panels, One-to-One sessions or other events on the Festival programme beyond what is required to support your attendance at these events.
If your carer would instead prefer to purchase their own ticket and attend the Festival in full, we may be able to arrange a discount.
In either case, please reach out to us at
info@jerichowriters.com and let us know your requirements and whether your carer would like to attend for free or purchase their own ticket, as we’ll be happy to discuss!

How does Ticket Insurance work?
Ticket Insurance is an optional add-on which allows you request a refund of the ticket cost at any time up to and including the day of the Festival if you are unable to attend due to:
- Personal illness or injury
- Illness or injury of an immediate family member
- Bereavement
- Unexpected work commitments
- Travel disruption outside the attendee’s control
We may request supporting documentation to validate your claims. Refunds apply to the ticket price only and not to the insurance fee. Ticket Insurance does not cover:
- Change of mind
- Scheduling conflicts
- Failure to arrange childcare or personal logistics
- Partial attendance
- Event cancellation (in this instance, all tickets, regardless of insurance, will be refunded)
When you add a ticket to your basket, you can add Ticket Insurance for £20. If you are purchasing multiple tickets, each ticket will need its own Ticket Insurance in order to be covered. You need to apply Ticket Insurance as part of the same order as your Festival ticket. Ticket Insurance may not be applied retroactively, and any Ticket Insurance purchased without a corresponding Festival ticket will be refunded.
How does the instalment plan work?
When you purchase your ticket, you can choose to pay upfront or pay in instalments via PayPal – Pay in 3. If you select the instalment plan, you will need to pay the first instalment immediately to secure your ticket. The second and third instalments will be charged via PayPal according to the payment schedule established at the point of purchase.
You will need a PayPal account in order to pay in instalments. Instalment plans will be available until April 12th 2026, after which tickets may be purchased upfront only. Final instalments must be paid no later than 4pm (BST) on June 12th 2026; tickets which have not been fully paid after this point will be invalid for entry to the Festival.
When is my next instalment due? What happens if I can't pay?
By selecting the PayPal – Pay in 3 instalment plan when you purchase your ticket, you are entering into an agreement with PayPal. Please refer to all terms and conditions of this plan on the PayPal website:
PayPal | PayPal UK.
As the instalment plan is handled by PayPal and not Jericho Writers, you will need to direct any questions or concerns about your payment schedule to PayPal. Jericho Writers is unable to mediate with PayPal on your behalf in the event that you are unable to make repayments as scheduled.
Can I upgrade my ticket?
If you would like to upgrade from a Workshop Pass to an All-Access ticket, or from a Saturday/Sunday ticket to a Weekend ticket, you will first need to cancel your ticket. You can do this by clicking your initials/profile picture, selecting Your Tickets and then clicking
Your Orders in the navigation bar. Click the dropdown arrow beside the Edit button, and then click Cancel Order and select the ticket you want to cancel. You will be prompted to submit a reason for cancellation – please mention the type of upgrade you would like in this space. You can also reach out to us for more support with this by emailing
info@jerichowriters.com
If the cancellation deadline (12 weeks prior to the event) has passed and you do not have Ticket Insurance, you will need to purchase your upgraded ticket before a refund on your original ticket will be issued.
